Differences between 95-99 service manuals?
I've got a 95, but I"ve seen a few later model manuals around. Will they work for a 95, or do the manuals change slightly from year to year with any minor model revisions?

Agreeed, minor changes, OBD being the biggest, however things like brake rotors etc got bigger in 96+ essentially the car is the same, but its always recommended to get the proper manual

Wow, I thought they were all OBD2's. That's nice to know. Certain cars from certain manufacturers changed over before the deadline. My car's a '95 but it has the OBD2 connector and the scan tool worked just fine with those cartridges.

What kind of scan tool did you use? I'll be kinda peeved if I jumped though several hoops to get my actron scan tool, gm cartridge and the extra OBD II cable for no particular reason.

Snap-On scanner. I don't know exactly which model it was, or the cards and key. However, I have a Mac OBDII code reader and it won't play with the Aurora. So maybe there's some wierd chit happening, who knows?

Could just be that Snap-On is an extremely capable tool. I think it just reads either so long as you have the proper cable to attach. It's certainly in a whole other price class from the Actron CP9110 I got. I'm 100% sure that my 95 is OBD I, and my Actron books make no mention of different versions of the 95s.

The 95 's are OBD1 but most OBD2 scan tools will work on them the 95's have an OBD2 plug. The shop i work at has a snap on and vertronix scan tools and they both work seemlessly.
