serpentine belt / tensioner
Have a 95 Roadmaster wagon; after 187,000 with original alternator I have decided to have new bearings and brushes installed before it lets go.
Located tensioner, not quite sure how to "grab it" and release tension on serpentine belt. Not the easiest spot to get to. Anyone out there have any tips? Thanks Tom C. |

Re: serpentine belt / tensioner
Most GM tensioners have a square hole that accepts a 1/2 or 3/8 ratchet or pull handle.

got the answer
thanks Chris
Got it. Actually it was a 1/2 inch bolt on the tensioner. Quite a few layers had to come off to get to it. Tom C. |
