I cant take this beating anymore....I just had to pay 500 bucks for a processor to pass Emissions. Over the past 2 years I spent thousands on that car. The engine practically has 55k on it, and the trans I got it in 2000. I spend so much money on that thing and I am going to get nothing for it. The odometer says 180,xxx and no one is going to trust that I replaced the engine, and tranny. The car looks beautiful and I am going to try to get 4k for it. I know it sounds high, but I might get someone willing to buy it. A lot of people always ask me if I am every selling it, so I guess it may not be that hard.
This was the hardest decision to make, and I know when its gone, it is truly going to be horrible. The Aurora is everything I ever dreamed about in a car, but the bills are what is killing me. If any of you are in the Pa/De/Nj area and are looking for a nice Aurora with low milage, contact me my email is [email protected] Thank you for everything I learned in this forum, it has saved me a lot of time and money.

Sorry to hear that you have to part with you Aurora. I'm sure it will be hard, but if you have it running good right now then why sell. I understand that it may be a money pit, but understand that you have a car right now that you OWN so there are no payments looming out your window. But, I understand your decision and wish you the best of luck in whatever you end up doing.

Re: Looking to get rid of my Aurora
thats what my dad said........but taking the car to the shop every month for a 200-$500 is like a car payment, except worse. The gas money will be a lot less too, and maybe insurance. Believe me, I am only selling this car because I have to, I love it to death, I am just hoping to get 3-4K for it, if I was rich I wouldnt have to sell it, or had the job I had.
Its a great car, but its not for constant driving, like A LOT of luxury cars

I put about 400 a week on mine for the last year or so. It's a 95 has 148,000. The only things i had to replace in the last two years are the radiator, bearing, and master cylinder. I should prolly sell it before I get all the problems... lol Love the car |

you know its funny to hear these things about these cars.
before buying mine, I asked a few owners what they felt about the car...not one said they were having problems...in fact they all raved on about how reliable the aurora has been to them. I've had mine for about 40,000 miles and basically been a turn key car. yeah it has its minor issues but nothing to get over excited about....but i guess your in either of two camps 1/ good car and reliable or 2/ money pit and very costly car?? how could some aurora's be bullet proof, where others are junk?? i dont know?? |
