Question 99 Silverado 2WD Front Wheel Bearing?

99 Silverado 2WD with 220K miles
Front Wheel bearings are starting to go. The dealership tells me you have to buy the entire hub ($300.00 each side) instead of just replaceing the individual bearings. They say the hub is "NOT serviceable".
Has anyone replaced the old bearings in this "NOT serviceable hub"?

I cant be the only one who has had to replace front wheel bearings and didnt want to have to spend $600 on two wheel hubs?
I found a place that sold me one hub for $170. I am going to replace one and then try to rebuild the old hub for the other side. I will keep you posted on the progress.
If anyone has tried this please share your info.
Thanks

Talking

Drivers side front wheel bearing hub replacement complete. NOT a big deal !! Just remove the brake calibers and brake rotor. Three bolts behind the hub are what hold it in. They are easy to get to. Remove the bolts and you may have to beat the old bearing hub out but mine wasnt to tough. The new hub slide in pretty easy. Bolt everything back up and done ! It took me maybe 2hours in my front driveway.

Note: I bought the new wheel bearing hub from "buychevyparts.com" for $169. They were definately the cheapest I could find. However, BEWARE - dont be in a hurry to get the parts !!! I ordered it on a Monday (their website claims same day shipping - NOT ! ). When I called on Thursday they hadnt even shipped it out yet. I got it sometime the following week.
Good Price - Good Product - SLOW delivery.

Now I will look over the old wheel bearing hub and determine if I can rebuild it or if I will have to buy a new hub for the passenger side.
