Rear Heat A/C problems

When I turn on my A/C I get nice cold air out of the front outlets. But the rear bottom (heater) outlets put out warm/hot air. Nothing comes out of the A/C Vents in the ceiling. The repair manual states it is the drivers temp control lever that controls what outlet the rear air comes out of - and if the lever is set to coldest - cold air should come out of the upper rear A/C vents. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks

Re: Rear Heat A/C problems

I think by rear vents, the manual means the ones in the back passenger/cargo area on so equipped models. The defroster and heater vents you mentioned aren't normally part of the AC system.

Vents

Thanks for your response Yogi - There are two sets of vents in the rear area of the Van - Larger ones are near the floor and dispense heat when the heat is on. Smaller ones are in the ceiling and dispoense fresh air or A/C when it is on. Even thought I have the A/C on and the drivers temp lever all the way over to cold, hot air is still dispensed form the lower vents in the rear area rather the thru the top ceiling vents like it should. Any Ideas? Thanks
