Malfunction codes

I have the following codes from my check engine system on my 99 subary legacy
325 - Knock sensor malfunction Bank 1 sensor 1
505 - Idle control system malfunction
1133 - fuel air metering

What is the implication and what repair do I need.

In addition my ABS came on and stayed on this morning and I am lost on what all this means.

Help you wise ones.

Re: Malfunction codes

You might need a new MAF sensor. Im not really sure though, take it to the dealership to be sure. Those codes are all related in someway though.

the ABS light means that something is wrong with your ABS system. Check your brake fluid first off to see if thats good.

If you have been driving through a lot of snow, then that will turn the ABS light on. This is because theres snow in the sensor. On each axle (right behind the brakes) theres a disc with little slots cut into it. The ABS system senses how fast those slots go by and figures out when to brake and such. If those slots are full, it will turn on the ABS light. Give those a bit of a cleaning and see if that helps. Other than that, it could be a bad sensor.

Re: Re: Malfunction codes

Thanks, The ABS finaly went off but this is the second time and it stuck a bit longer this time. I will get the codes checked by the dealer though the car has some very tiny vibrations when idling. Kinda like little shakes when idling, do not know if it has anything to do with it.
Thanks for your reply.

Re: Malfunction codes

I doubt it has much to do with it. Sounds like some new spark plugs and wires would help. Could also be carbon buildup.
