It's easy!
Just go buy soem hinges from Lowe's and use ur imagination and it'll work... My friend Roth did it to his Civic.... VERY PHAT!

Doesnt the 96-97 Accord use those kind of hinge things? If they did then i would just try to use those and reweld it on or use brackets like u guys said and do it that way.
