mazda 626
Hi My 1991 Mazda 626 is make screeching noises when acclerating and when my head lights are on. Also the interior light on the dash is dimming when the car screeches, Any help?

Sounds a lot like the alternator. The bearings in the alternator are probably going bad. If the bearings are bad the alternator can't spin freely as it normally does causing the belt to slip. The screeching is more than likely the belt. The lights dim do to the fact that the alternator is not spinning fast enough to keep the power up.
