Question please explain hayabusa obsession

can someone please explain the obsession with the busa?

why do people thinks its the "fastest bike" or the "most powerful.

i know they are easy to mod with turbos and all but in REAL WORLD EVERYDAY USEAGE or even track days, bloody useless. no road is long enough to use the power......

every time i see a busa or a blackbird on the track, i'm past him on any stage even the straights. they just don't have the acceleration to be usable.

ok ok i'll admit that a worked one will kick my but in a quarter mile drag but what happens when you need to corner? see ya later dude.

and lets face it, corners are what bikes are about. you don't hear guys say "lets go for a ride up the old road. its a great road. nuthin but straights for miles"

F that gimme corners and switchbacks galore

they're sport tourers, so like cruisers, people want them only for straights and interstates, and there are tons of people who love to ride straights than encounter corners. as for the power redundancy, well what bike isn't above 600 ccs really. same reason why Harley are so popular, and Busa handles way better than Harley. according to reviews I read, it's powerful because even in the 5th gear where the power of literbike power goes down, Busa just keeps pulling.

Ah, yes, the "hurry up and wait" syndrome...

The busa is a comfortable ride (duh, sport TOURER aspect kicks in right about here). It can handle "fairly" well, as you can drag the lower plastics in twisties, so it WILL lean. It also has more ground clearance than my bike, so the bike would HAVE to be leaned quite a bit to get that far. Just ask Madbusa2002. He'll tell you stories about WV runs until he's blue in the face.

Oh, and Z, he can tell you about all the fun we have with DAD.

maybe if they are miles between them. if not pick any bike to do that.

and as for pulls in 5th. if im going quick and want to "pull in 5th" i'm already doing twice the highway speed limit. wind resistance takes over and if a busa wants to take me there i'll gladly give him the win

Haha, but it's all relative you know. At midnight on the freeway, there's no speed limit.

Hey Tangie, I'm not aware of those stories, mind telling us some? I've read DAD's post, but I never seen you post there. But then again, I don't usually read the posts at ladies section.
