Incorrect Outside Temperature Reading

Hi Guys, first timer so be kind. I've used the information in this forum several time for information, very informative.

I have a problem with my outside temerature reading. Itis ok when i first start driving but then it drops all the wat to -39 and goes up and down while i'm driving. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks keep the flow on info going


Day 2 now it dosen't even display the outside temp. will try to clean the sensor thanks.

First I would try to clean it. Lay down in front of the car looking underneath the bumper. See that black canister shaped thing in the middle of the radiator? Try taking a clean towel and wipe the top of the sensor off. There is probably 9 years worth of crud on it. Get back in the car, start her up and drive around the block. If the temp reads ok then your done.

If not, its time to be a new sensor.

Treeboy38.....I did both of your suggestions and it's still bad...any other ideas?
