You can but you wont be able to turn and it will rub everytime you run over a pebble.

There was a guy with a sweet rex with 18 i am pretty sure he has rubbing issues. Some of the old school ppl will remeber him. He had his exhaust come out of his side infront of his wheel.

As i've said before i have 18's on my hatch and have no rubbing problems. I had to raise the coilovers back up but it really does look good higher with big rims and keeps you from bottoming out all of the time. And it's probably because they're pretty wide not sure actual measurments but the car has improved handling. but does take some power away.

i agree.

this civic has stock suspension and on 18 inch rims with 205/35 x 18 tires. the tire diameter is about 23.5 inch. thats about same diameter as the stock civic tires 205/60 x 14.

yep ..youre right..i calculated the diameter of that 18 inchs tire and stock, came out the same. that means you wont loose any torque. also i like the looks, a lot better than most of the gay looking crx with small tires and lowered suspension.
