Question ok guyz im stump an lost on my swap

OK i own a 91 dx hatch an swaped to a d16y8 motor an i didn't do the mfi swap ot anything so i put the motor in with my new si tranny put my old intake mani on old dizzy an alternator now i wanna wire in vtec an do my mfi swap shit now if it isn't a problem could someone break this down for me cuz im a honda dummie sites don't help me lol someone told me i need a restior box p28 ecu obd1 obd0 conversion harness an i would need knock sensor an another o2 sensor im lost an about to give up lol could anyone explain to me where to start an how to do this please i don't wanna give up the 91 civicdemon lol

hmm...for my swap we used a resistor box from an Si, did the MPFI conversion, used the d16a6 distributor and pm6 ecu. for vtec i used a VAFC. holy shit i'm lacking on knowledge of my car since i been gone from the scene since November (car is now unregistered, but slowly picking up with the game and finishing my b16 swap)

im assuming you have the stock obd2 dist and injectors right ? or do you have the whole complate y8 intake mani ?

the mpfi swap sounds hard but its not that bad,im still doing them even though i have been a dsm guy for five years now.i miss my hondas as i have done many swaps over the years and still do for people.just trying to help is all,heres a pic of my 90 hb i sold four years ago.

you use:

your dx harness
88-91 si d16a6 distrib
88-91 si ecu pm6 or jdm pr3 or 0 if i remember correctly
resistor box from accord civic prelude
88-91 si obd-o injectors
and y8 intake manifold, fuel rail,throttle body

whether you stay obd0 or go to obd1 depends on what injectors and dist you are going to run. so we need to know if your getting obd0 or obd1 injectors, if you ahve or are getting obd0 or obd1 dist. then we can help you with waht ecu your going to need and if you need to switch to obd1

so should i do the mfi swap before i convert to obd1 cuz im goin p28 ecu an obd1 obd0 harness an i can do the mfi with my dx harness

yes, you have to use your stock dx harness and modify it. NO OTHER HARNESS WILL PLUG IN!
