This is for the Turbo guys/gal whats your MPG

Like it says what kinda miles per gallon do you get. I just took a 300 mile freeway trip and for the first time since turbo I got 30.876 mpg. In town its ass about 23-25 mpg depending on how much Im in the pedal. It has just recently gotten better at first it was about 20 mpg in town and 25 freeway in 100 mile trips. Let me know what your getting.

your mpg should stay at whatever it was before the turbo if you can drive the whole tank without going into boost. if its not the same then its not tuned good

what if you go into boost often? How much of a drop in fuel mpg would you get on average?

I was wondering the same thing. I drafted (was not going to even attempt to try and do a side by side) behind a new evo with huge exhaust yesterday and it had black fuel residue on muffler... (thinking high boost with big injectors?) I knew it was fuel and not oil cuz I could smell it... (side note: after got into downtown, crx zipped in and out of traffic leaving big bad evo behind)...

Wife's car... stock 1999 VW Passat ~3500lbs. DOHC 20v turbo 1.8L redline 6500rpms avg. mpg=30

hmm.... u think thats bad? lastnight i had a nice black cloud of smoke come outta my car that smelt like 94 octane then a nice flame afterwards lol

somehow i ran into the bank and the car flooded itself, went to start it and it just cranked and cranked, put my foot to the floor, shut the injectors off, got it started and holy hell that was a nice smelling cloud behind my car haha

i think i might have a bad injector tho because sometimes when i start it, it runs on 3 cylinders, give it gas and it fires the 4th. thinking of throwing the B18 injectors in and see if it fixes it or not

Re: This is for the Turbo guys/gal whats your MPG

If I boost a whole tank of gas I have seen 23 MPG. So ya about 5 mpg wasted with hammering it.
