how hard is it to do the power window kit conversion for a crx? I dunno anyone thats done it and I haven't found a kit that comes w/ directions.. My windows are off track so I figured while I was in there i'd just go ahead and do the conversion. thanks in advance.

Re: jdm power window kit?

I had the same exact question not to long ago, But this is what i came up with. Eventually to make it cheaper, just go out to a junk yard and find powere window doors from a CRX. Get the hole door both pass, and Driver, and just wire it up to work.

If you choose the other way to get the window assembly, power switch, wires, etc etc it will become more expecive along the way and it will be time consuming also.

I would just get the ones that are in a junk yard or ebay, just bolt on plug and use. effective and cheap too.

Re: jdm power window kit?

just get power motors and tracks from a 4dr......its an easy swap....get all the wiring or you'll have a headache if your not a wiring guru.

Re: jdm power window kit?

The deal with the JDM power window kit is the window master control is on the passanger side of the car. It is alot easier to just get a SPAL window kit. They run about $160 and come with lighted switches and the master is on the drivers side. Ask GTA who much he likes his kit. I just got one also. Look hella easy to wire to Ill do a HOW TO with pics when I install them after I get the car painted. So about in about 2 weeks.
