Question 1989 525i wipers, stero, and windows stopped working

My cousin has a 1989 525i that all the things listed above just shut down one day. Are these just fuse related or is it a relay that controls all of these. Any help would be get its to bad to see the car sitting not being used.

Thanks

I had the same problem. And I changed the fusible link that connects to the battery which was under my backseat in my 89 535i. The part cost me $6.00. Hope this helps!

I've got an 89 535i, too, and I'm having similar problems with my radio (AM/FM cassette) and windows. Car was idle for 3 months last fall. Put in a new battery, started up the car, all of the windoes were working, radio was not working, then when I started the car again, only driver's side windows were working.

What exactly is a fusible link, and where can it be obtained??? Reg. auto parts store???
