Thank you very much for your positive response.

Answers to your questions:

Kit base: Alfa models (Brazilian producer) March 711
Engine: base Tamiya DFV, detail parts scratchbuilt
Color: Royal blue, mixed in local car paint maker

Only the base of the original kit has been used (the main body), many other parts are scratchbuilt or aftermarket detail parts are used. The main body has been detailed with Modelfactory Hiro rivets, the cockpit hole has been widenet and modified, the hole for gear shift lever has been made.
The suspension is completely new, made from wire, the exhaust pipes are made from tin wire.
Decals are newly printed, as the originals were crap, with graphic not very sharp and the decals material not very easy to work with. Unfortunately, my printer has problems with white, so the decals are not as good as intended

How many squares-per-inch is that graph paper, and where did you get it? All I can find around here (Without actually looking very hard) is 4 and 5 SPI.

Oh, and that model is pretty OK too

My goodness! Every time you think that you reached a certain level of experience in modeling, somebody posts a thread like this, making you realize just how little you know about the real art of modeling...

My respect Aress! This is beyond words...

leave the decals as they are, it looks more realistic. older F1's werent made to gleam and shine, they were made to race. so their paint wasn't perfect.

No, this is wrong. Race cars have always been painted beautifully. They have always been used for commercial purposes. If a perfectly finished scale race car wins a competition do you always hear: "This is not how it should look like". Exactly what I also used to say as a bad excuse after having lost to a perfectly finished car in endless numbers of competitions. I stopped used this excuse after acquiring the technique to make an excellent finish.

Best regards
