Motocraft 5W-20
Where is the best place to buy the Motorcraft 5W-20 Synthetic blend? I used to buy it at Walmart. They quit selling it my local store. Would it be Ok to change from the blend to a straight 5W-20?

Re: Motocraft 5W-20
WalMart here has Mobil 1 in various viscosities and $4 a qt. A very good alternative to Motorcraft syn.

If you're going to spend $2 or $2.50/qt anyway, I would urge you to move up to full synthetic. While a blend is better than straight dinosaur juice, I do know Wal Mart sells Penzoil 5W-30 full synthetic for about $3.50/qt.
Be aware that you will only find Mobil 1 for $4/qt if you buy it in the 5-quart jug. That's fine, but when I went to Wal Mart, the 5-qt 5W-30 jugs of Mobil 1 were sold out. Note that there is not yet a Mobil 1 5W-20, but 5W-30 will be just fine. |
