start up

Lost the key, don't want to pay for a new ignition because I want to sell it for parts. The engine's a clean V6, barely broken in, so how do I start it?

depending on what year it is you may simply have to buy another key. My son's 94 Beratta (similar car) keys came up missing. We called GM's customer service and even though this car was 9 years old (at the time) they were kind enough to give the cut code to a local locksmith who made us a set of keys for under ten bucks. Just a thought. Just needed the Vin# as I recall....

Re: start up

Thanks for the info but I forgot to mention I had already tried that twice. Apparently the dealer I bought it from changed the ignition so the VIN doesn't match up with the key.
