12 Volt Plug and Cigarette lighter power
Hi,
I have a 98 Tacoma (4 Cylinder) 2WD. My issue is with the 12 V power supply. I have 2 outlets (side by side) and a cigarette lighter above. I have power in the bottom left 12 V plug but nothing in the other one or the cigarette lighter. I have tried looking at fuse and nothing seems to be wrong with them. Can anybody suggest something here? Any help would be greatly appreciated! |

Re: 12 Volt Plug and Cigarette lighter power
My 2004 has the same set up and about all I can tell you is they all work. I have a two volume shop manual and I cannot find any information on the power plugs or lighter. I assume they are all on same fuse, but my assumption may be wrong. I have no wiring diagram and that is what you will need to chase the power source to the lighter and plugs. Without a wiring diagram it's difficult to chase the circuit with a multi-meter or test light. A Haynes or Chiltons manual should have enough wiring diagrams to follow for basic troubleshooting.
