i think the ML is an embaressment to benz they should really change everything from bumper to bumper. When u drive it its like ur drivig a nissan

ML has come a far way since they've been introduced. Yes I'll have to agree that the first 2 years of the ML is an embarrasment to Mercedes. 2000 and up is almost like driving a completly diffrient truck in ride and also quality. If you compare the 04 to the 98 it's a totaly new vehical. The main down fall is it's a full frame vehical trying to compete in the subframe. softer ride market. But is it a little better ride or a rugged vehical you can take almost anywhere? That's what it pretty much comes down to.

I agree with MBtech, they are awesome vehicles. I have the ML55 and it screams!

We just bought a 2000 ML430. After driving probably 10 of them, you could clearly see the differences between the 98 and 99 models and the vast improvements of the 2000 models. My wife drove a 2001 Acura MDX and hated it compared to the 2000 ML320 she drove just before it. I held out for a V8 model and we got to drive 99 and 2000 model 430's side by side and could see the big difference. The transmission on the 2000 models is also vastly improved, it makes the 430 feel much faster compared to the 99 models.
