Repairing Aerial?
Is it possible to repair the factory fitted aerial on the Grand Cherokee? if so, how do you get it out?
My motor is spinning in it, but not pulling the mast down. |

Re: Repairing Aerial?
I broke my antenny off awhile back while wheelin' and tried to replace it like NAVYJO23 mentioned but was unsucessful - so I need to take the whole motor out to take it part b/c there is some of the rubber mast stuff inside of the motor, and I think this is keeping the new mast from going down all the way, altho I cannot find the electrical connector and antenna where it enters the inside fo the vehicle. My antenna has been going whacky for awhile now, every once in awhile the motor runs constantly (up and down), so I just pulled the RELAY out (inside the glovebox - false bottom, 1st BIG BLACK RELAY in the back, toward the driverside) - just incase you want to remove it as well until you get the antenna fixed.
ALSO IF ANYONE KNOWS EXACTLY WHERE THE ANTENNA WIRE/ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS ARE LOCATED AT, BEHIND THE KICK PANEL ON THE PASSENGERSIDE. let me know. HAYNES and FSM do not show it, they show it for the standard mast but not power antenna mast. |
