1998 Jimmy - 4WD selector switch - no lights

I have 1998 Jimmy that refuses to engage the 4wd.

The 2HI 4HI/4LO slector switch looks like it does not have power (no light).

All fuses check out fine (not blown)
I pulled the battery and the vaccuum accuator checks out fine. What a stupid place to locate a sensitive device (under the battery and all that corrosion)
Since the battery was out - that covers the resetting of the computer

Does anyone know how/where the switch gets it power? I'm assuming a control module somewhere.

Thanks

The switch bulb could be just blown.

Do you hear any noises when you try to engage 4x4?

Nothing discernible (noise) as if something was trying to engage or disengage.

The 2HI/4HI/4LO words illuminate when the lights are turned on at night.

Are the words and 4WD indicator drvien by a seperate relay or the same relay?

I tried to pull the 4WD swtich panel but the cable (wiring harness) was to short to allow me to see the back of the panel. What a pain!

Looks like I'll try the TCCM replacement next.
