Key won't turn past aux.

okay here's the deal. I can't get the key to turn past aux. I'm thinking its the ignition cylinder that is just bad and I just need to replace it but I just wanted to make sure that this is the likely solution. I also have a bad camshaft sensor I don't think this would be the problem.

Key Switch. You probably got it. You may try pressing the brake and moving the shifter to see if it is the interupter.

Re: Key won't turn past aux.

clutch and brake are pressed. Car in neutral.

And I've had no problem with the clutch engaging and disengaging so that should be fine.

Yep! I'd say the key cylinder is toast.

Re: Key won't turn past aux.

Yeah. The other day it was doing it and I used the spare key and it worked right away but when I tired it right before I posted this it wouldn't work. I even tried flipping the key over and crap but nothing worked.

Re: Key won't turn past aux.

I got it replaced yesterday. Yeah that was the problem. To seperate the cylinder and the holder it goes in we had to use a hammer and it broke piece of the old cylinder off. So yeah something was catching.
