To Buy or Not to Buy???

My wife and I are seriously thinking of purchasing a AWD Rendezvous. I was wondering of your opinion as to the reliability of the vehicle. Are there any major problems that are reoccuring at a certain mileage? What is your mpg in city and hwy? What kind of charges can I expect for ordinary upkeep?

I just need some feedback so I can make a wise choice.

My personal opinion is "don't do it" unless you also purchase an extended warranty preferably a gmpp major gaurd, many problems with these vehicles, wheel bearings, intake manifold leaks, little things that will run your wallet empty after 3yr/36,000 miles unless you buy an extended warranty. if its and suv type vehicle you need i would highly recomend a yukon or tahoe great vehicles..

I have heard about problems with the Rendevous starting around 40K. We bought one anyway, because we got it for the KBB trade in value. I drive a 2000 Tahoe. It has had numerous nuisance repairs; HVAC controls, electronic windows, etc. I wouldn't say one was any more trouble free than the other, and the buick (2002 CWX) is much more comfortable.
