Re: EGR is part of the vaccum system right?
yes it is actually,in the since that it uses intake manifold vacuum to actuate the plunger inside the EGR body. If it doesn't receive the right amount a vacuum, it can affect engine performance.

So say there is one bolt missing on the part that connects to egr sensor or what not. It the other side that is not connected to the intake manifold. But one screw is not there that would deffently be a problem huh?

Re: EGR is part of the vaccum system right?
Well talked to someone who knew about the shits and said that is deffently a main factor and could be the cause of the problem. Seeing as how I don't have a gasket either. Know what I got to do tomorrow. And all this cause I didnt want the dirty gas's back in my Intake Manifold. I suggest getting a EGR Block Off Plate.

Re: EGR is part of the vaccum system right?
even on newer electronic EGRs that don't require manifold vacuum to get it working, the tubing leads back to the intake manifold and if a gasket is leaking or a bolt missing to that gasket will definetly cause engine issues.

Ok well going to get that bolt back in and check if that is it. I will put the gasket to. Thanks and illpost back if that is the issue.

That was for sure it. Thanks for the help. I guess if your car is jerking when you hit the gas you should check the egr. Feels good to have my car back.

hey, sorry if i sound like i don't know much, what does EGR stand for, and where is it? i have the same problem, when i hit the gas from stop, it kind of hiccups, or hesitates, not like a transmission problem, but more like not enough air or gas.
