Diesel Or Turbo Diesel?

I currently contacted a private retailer that has put a 1990 jetta diesel in the local paper. I am very interested in buying a diesel.(Born a hick and will die a hick)
200,000+ miles
!!!!!!!!!Did volkswagen release a Jetta TURBO Diesel for that year or is it "Just" a diesel?!!!!!!!
Ive searched alot of websites but no one has specifications on a 1990 diesel.

They made both. A turbo is engine code MF, and a normally aspirated is ME.
