Once again I may be reading into this but it sounds like your saying being a redneck automatically makes you a good person but the rest of us need to work at it and once we become a good person we are a redneck. BTW I hate dumb arguments or disagreements especially those over the net. So I am not going to be responding to this thread anymore. I may be reading into things I shouldn't be but this thread is rubbing me the wrong way and I don't like the way a redneck is being explained when compared to other Americans who don't consider themselves to be rednecks. People are people, it does not matter if you live in NY, IL, MI, CA. Why do you have to be in a class of people depending on where you live? Why do you have to be a redneck to love god? Why do you have to be a terroist just because you have a different view?

There seems to be a misconception in this thread. People seem to think that the ONLY way you can have morals, love your country, etc. Is if your a redneck. That's not the case at all. What's being said is that this is what rednecks DO believe. It isn't saying that "non-rednecks" are completely void of morals, love of God, and such. That rednecks are nothing but racist, sister humping retards and thats just not true. Maybe it was 100 years ago, but it is not like that anymore. Like I said earlier, no where does it say "only rednecks believe in this stuff", but this IS the stuff that the average redneck believes in. I hope this maybe sheds some insight..

How could you be an immigrant redneck? Rednecks are pure down south rural americans, while immigrants are big city, urban people who hold on to their culture from wherever they came from.

Immigrants usually stay in big cities cause theres more people they can relate to from their country, you wont find them in Alabama running a farm or living in a trailer park. They're typically living in apartment buildings or lower-mid class suburbs.

Because if it is a joke, I won't bother pointing out the fact that we are all immigrants (even the farmers) many of whom had ancestors who raped, murdered, pillaged and stole this land from the Native Americans. I'm talking about current immigrants, and how the F could i make an ignorant American generalization when I AM AN IMMIGRANT. I'm speaking of PURE experience, i guess you know nothing about it. I was born in Poland, where did we go to first? Chicago the Polish mecca of America, a big city, and where did we live? Where the biggest concentration of Polish immigrants was, on Milwaukee in an Apartment building. Where did we live next? Greenpoint, Brooklyn, New York.... certainly not a farm, but another place with a high concentration of Polish immigrants. Why? Because immigrants arent just going to move to a rural area, where they dont know anybody and can barely speak english, and where most likely nobody will give them a job or help them out. That is why we immigrate to big cities, because there are people from our country that can help us out.

And btw.. maybe your people did but my people never raped or pillaged any Native people or ever enslaved Africans in America cause we were under our own opression in Eastern Europe.

Strange, because my father's family is straight out of France and Germany- my mother's is from Scotland and Wales. Very recent immigrants. I grew up eating godawful delicacies such as haggis, tongue and beans n' toast on one side, and French country fare on the other. Occasionally my great grandfather would chase me around with a broom screaming at me in German. They moved to the suburbs of central Massachusetts. They found jobs. They made friends. I suppose they should have followed your concrete formula for the obligatory migration habits of all immigrants. So again...assumption AND generalization.

Yep-my relatives had their own problems with the Reich, as well (even the German ones). I never raped a Native American or forced an African into endentured servitude either- but I can still feel guilty about it. Fact is we are all reaping the benefits of those crimes. There's not a whole hell of a lot we can do about it now- but at least give them the respect of acknowledging it.

So do you want to generalize any further about rednecks and/or immigrants?
