how do i take off the h23 head>?

I am selling my h23 with manifold, distributor, cams, cam gears etc etc and i am trying to get it off my block. do i have to take off the valve cover then take out the cams and everything just to get the head off? please help b/c sofar i took off the valve cover and the bolts going into the rockers or lifterS? that cover the cams. i dont want to keep going if what im doing is not right. so please help

yes, you have to take off the cams...the only thing you dont have to take out are the rocker arms...take off the timing belt cover and slide the timing belt off the cams...take out the cams, then unscrew the head bolts... (large black bolts) ..make sure you know which cam went in which spot if they arent marked..unbolt the exhaust/header andjust make sure all the excess hoses and wire clips are removed and u should be able to pull it off
