The past month my 2001 Metro has been really hard to start in the morning. Now it's not starting at all. I'm not getting spark from either of the two coils. Is it possible they both went out at the same time? I also checked the IG coil fuse and seems to be OK. No Warning lights on the dash. Each coil is about $180 bucks a piece. I need to know if they're my problem before spending $360 and they not being the problem.
PLEASE HELP, THANKS Last edited by JMNJNE; 02-21-2005 at 07:25 PM. |

All Fixed
Hooked up a scan tool and it was Failing during the scan. Then I tried using the Erase procedure and it Failed again. Then I dis-connected both coils then ran the scan tool and it came back with NO CODE which is better than Fail. Then I noticed a Service Engine Light come which never did before. Reconnected the coils and it kicked right over, I guess something was blocking the curcuit or the computer was jammed??
I dont know but I"m fixed! |
