Need Help On Building A System

Hi all... I am looking for an easy cheap way to build a good sounding system in my muscle car... I have purchased a stereo that fitted my budget from wal-mart and had purchased an amp that also fitted my budget from e-bay... Here is what I am looking at so far.. <p>

What i need help on is what to buy for speakers.. I need something for the front of the car and something for the rear... I am looking for something that some boom to it but also has some good treble as well.. <p>
I know absolutely nothing about building a car stereo that sounds good at low volume as well as high volume.. I had checked out that web site for beginners but I was lost before I was done reading the first page so if someone could explain to me what to purchase for the front and rear in a way a 13 year old would understand that would be great. <p>
I would also like to know a step by step instruction on how to go about wiring the system up for me to get the greatest sound that I can... Now please remember that I work at a really low end job and I need something that would fit in my budget... NOT looking for the $150.00 speakers for my car because it would take me a year to save up to that much!. <p>
Please someone help a dummy get something that the neighbors would hear from about 3 blocks away...lol<p>

Well your not going to be very loud or sound very good with just comps and/or coaxials for under 150. For that budget I would go and just get some cheap alpines or something from ebay, but in all honesty I would try to save money for a decent component set in the front and a cheap 10 or 12 inch sub in the rear..... both of which can be ran off your amp. If you could get 250-300 for the components and sub then you could be sounding pretty decent. Even if you could do 150 for an RE component set and like 75 or whatever the normal price is for an RE12..... then that would sound pretty damn good.

Aright first of all i know where your coming from with the budjet, if you dont plan on any upgrades after this purchase, youll be ok. Ok so if were going for sumthing arouns 150 dollars youll have to stay away from the high end internet brands. I think you should stick more with mainstream products. Check out infinity, hifonics, or some blaunkpunt (spelling?) speakers on ebay. They dont cost much but are decent for your needs. Most people hear in this forums dont use rear speakers, if this is the case with you, you might want to forget about the rear speakers, and spend more money on getting a better front speaker set. If so, you might want to check out some of the Re Compnents www.reaudio.com, and im sure theres others i cant think of right now, but the fellas will fill them in. OH BTW are you looking for subs too, cause i dont understand why you got a 1800w sub?

Could you tell me what you are referring to? Might be able to swing something in that field.. I am really new to the stereo system stuff and do not know terms that people use to refer to different speakers and stuff.. I can follow a lot better if someone tells me the name brand and type of speaker to use... and maybe how to string the wires and which speaker to hook up to which port on the AMP and how to set the AMP to get that good sound!

Yes I would like to find a pretty inexpensive set of subs that the AMP would support.. I am going to build a box myself to hold the subs so size would matter for the subs because I have loads of room..

RE Audio. www.reaudio.com RE component Set and RE series 12" subwoofer. Both can be powered off of your amp and will sound good (would sound a lot better w/ a better amp though)

Yup i agree with bumping, get the RE audio RE 12's, or maybe get two if you want ot get lowder. And maybe if u win won of those scratcher lottos, you can get a better amp lol, good luck!
