I just noticed a problem with my 1991 Ford Escort LX. I noticed that oil has some how been getting into the air filter and casing. I only know that the oil is coming through a hose that goes into area where I add my oil. Basically it looks as though oil is being sprayed into the air filter casing and filter. I do not know too much about cars, but would appreciate any help out there.
In addition, I have noticed that the bottom of my oil pan and surrounding area to that are all coated with oil. Definitely an oil leak somewhere. Any suggestions? Thank you for replying. |

Re: Oil in air filter + oil on bottom of car
What size engine?
Is the air filter in a metal housing?

The oil in your airbox is coming from the breather tube.
