Re: '96 Grand Cherokee Engine Options
I'd like to be able to beat just about anyone off the line. I like to have fun when I'm driving, and what I'm driving with just doesn't seem to be enough. I think I'm definatly going with a turbo, so what else will I need to upgrade? If I do go with the nitrous too, is my engine going to be able to handle the increase in hp? I've heard horror stories of blown cylinders after adding nitrous. The other thing is that I have a pretty limited budget. I can fit a turbo ($800-1000?), but the nitrous, especially if I needed to replace the pistons, would have to wait.

or you can go the cheap man's way of nitrous, which will still need supporting mods for it to work.

Re: '96 Grand Cherokee Engine Options
just find a wrecked 98 5.9L and buy the full engine/tranny/tcase/ dropout. if you want more power than that(stock is like 265hp/340lbft torque), just build it... heads, adjustable rockers, pushrods and a more aggressive cam. you won't even need a turbo or a s/c.
