Re: tranny filler plug
If you have a manual transmission you need to locate the speed sensor, speedometer gear, on the transmission. You can find this by following the speedometer cable. Disconnect the electrical connection to the sensor. Clean the area around the sensor and gently pry it out. Check the fluid level at the speed sensor. If it is low, place a funnel in the sensor hole and fill to the full level. Reinstall the cable. Of course if you have an automatic simply pull the dipstick. Can be found beside the air intake and the mastercylinder. Both manual and automatic transmissions use Mercon trans. fluid.

Re: Re: tranny filler plug
remove the electrical connectino, and get a slip joint pliers or normal pliers, and gently rock the sensor back and forth all directions to try to lossen it up and slowly work it out, its what I had to do. but my buddy had the same problem before and he broke his, I think he said you could get a replacement senor from ford for like 35 to 40 bucks, but I never checked on that.
