1989/90 750
I am seriously thinking of buying a 1989-90 750 iL. I have watched several on ebay and looked at one locally. I currently own a 90 E-class Benz, and do a lot of minor work myself, for what that's worth. I saw the site of the 750 horror stories, and I understand the problems with intricate electronics and self-leveling suspension, but would like to hear from some owners, or others with firsthand experience about whether this is a good idea. I plan on this being a daily driver. Thanks in advance.

hey bud i have a 87 735i, different then the 89-90 but i just wanted to say that would be such a world of difference from the e class and when i bought my car everybody and their dog said that its going to be $$$$ to fix and maintain but i do most of the work and so far all the work i have done (powersteering pump, hanger bearing, back window,door-powerlocks) was easy and came under $250 and i paid $2000 for it so i could not be happier. Thought i would let u know my opinion hope the 740 works for ya even though u should splurge for the 760 (yeah right) jokes
take it easy |
