96 Buick Century - "Anti Lock" light on Dash

Hello -

I have a 1996 Buick Century, the "Anti-Lock" light appeared on the dash. The car has been off and on dozens of times over the past 2 weeks and the light has stayed.

I understand that ABS can act funny in cold weather, but since it has been 2 weeks I guess it may be some type of failure.

Is this typically a bad Wheel Sensor? Can they be easily tested?

Yes it is.IIRC they are built into the hub and have to replace both.If you have an Auto Zone they will scan the car for free, which will get you going in the right direction.

I paid a lot of money to be told too many brake lights out, think it was 2 of the 6, including the third tail light, can cause the ABS light to turn on. Autozone in my experience didn't have the diagnostics to read brake trouble codes. Good luck
