check engine light off

After my check engine light came on and stayed on a couple of days, it is now off. I thought this wouldn't turn off unless the problem was corrected or the battery was disconnected.

Some problems correct themselves. You still have the code stored in the computer if you want to find out what caused it. Evidently, the computer found the error had gone back within tolerances.

Whats up,
Sounds to me like a case of a loose gas cap, my light came on the other day driving from boston to pa...it wasnt loose, I left it on top of the truck when i pulled out!

Hopefully you wont see it again.
