I have a 1993 Buick Century, I just replaced the serpentine belt and the alternator, the bearings seized and ripped the belt... I drove it for a block or so after the alternator blew, the car ran fine... after replacing the belt and put a used alternator in, the car wont go past 35 km/h and doesnt seem to be going past first gear. Any suggestions would be AWESOME !!!

I'm no expert but, a few simple things before the big boys start tossing better ideas. Perhaps you dislodged a wire harness block during repairs or maybe try resetting the computer. Check your throttle wire assembly and make sure you didn't knock it out of it's seat (does your gas peddle feel diffrent).
