I don't know if and how this could be related but I recently replaced my belt tensioner assembly and now I noticed that coming from both rear tires is a hissing or buzzing sound. I only hear it when I am in park and standing outside my car (with and without parking break applied). I had someone press the breaks while I listened and the noise did not change or go away. Any ideas of what it could be??? Break fluid level looks fine. Car seems to be driving good but I don't want something to go out at 60MPH.
I have a 1998 GP GT 2-Door with ABS breaks. D |

Re: 98 GP GT - rear tires hissing/buzzing at stand-still???
Is that with the engine running or with the key on and not running ???
Are you sure it's not the fuel pump runnig?Pull the under hood fuse fot the fuel pump and see if it stops.

Yes, it is only when the engine is running. I'll give the fuse a try but will that not cause a problem?
Thanks D |

This is not going to be an hour long test. Should have enough gas to have it run long enough to find out if that's the noise.
