Angry EGR code help: Reverse lights inop: AC/defroster: help

Hello,

I'm a new member to this board. I have been reading numerous post's and getting some good info. My problems are as follows:
My reverse lights do not come on. Tried swapping out the fuse and bulb with no luck. Don't know what to do now and at a standstill.
My A/C blows out warm air and it only blows out the defroster and not the vents. I still have heat though, just no AC.
I also get that service engine light all the time and was told it was a bad EGR valve. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I have a 1995 chevy s10. 2.2l 4 cylander. Thanks again.

i no pro, just 5 yrs experience figuring out fixing what i can and letting garage tell me otherwise. '83 4wd 2.8v6 blazer.

reverse lights... i'd look at wires which aometimes are poorly situated right under where you step in/out drivers floor, under carpet. otherwise find out where wire for reverse switch is and check.

the little hidden doors that redirect inside air floor use vacuum lines to diaphrams. maybe one of these these little hoses off, hooked up wrong in multiple plug of these under middle dash, vacuum supply hose thru firewall not connected ? other vacuum line somewhere under hood damaged? seems a redirector to close of heater core and send to ac housing not moving, if your ac actually working.

Re: numerous problems with my S10

check the reverse switch for the backup lights, the ac probly needs recharged, and the door not opening can be, either its sticking for some reasion ie soda went down and now is sticking the door in its position, or there is a vacume leake, again, im not a pro either, but i do like this kind of stuff

I do ac recharges at work all the time. usually lead to the customer coming back about a week later very angry. 2 things i suggest.
Get the system tested for leaks first.
and number one Make sure your clutch is kickin in on your ac compressor when you turn it on. You should be able to hear it kick in from inside. other wise have someone watch it as you turn the ac dial. More than often your problems are in the clutch. and if you end up getting recharge dont do it yourself. take it too a shop. its about 100 bucks at my work but if your system has been w/o refrigerant in the lines. chances are the lines need reoiled and could be rusting. the machines they use will also inject rust inhibitors and will re oil the inside of the lines to prevent further corrosion.
