Re: SR20DET Engine swap

It does indeed matter which year it came out of. If you just want to keep FWD on your B15 Sentra, I believe an NX2000 SR20 would work fine (Anyone else's input?)

Also, for B15 Sentra's (2000-2005) you can do a swap from a 1988 Nissan Pulsar GTi-R, and do an AWD conversion. However, this path leads to many difficulties, and in the car world, difficulties are expensive.

You'd be better off with a single turbo than putting a twin turbo on a 2.0L 4, but to each their own I suppose.

A Garret T3/T4 hybrid would be my personal choice for the AWD SR20 swap, as it has nice spool-up time, as well as nice airflow. A nice combination of turbine and compression wheel.

waht are you thinking?

guys some of you need help. try www.sentra.com or form 2000-up.
www.b15sentra.com. the qa16de or 1.6l. is a driffrent set up than the 2.0L or sr20de,sr20det,or sr20vet. and one turbo is the only set up you need. if done right and have the money you can push 30psi and 700hp out of sr20det or sr20vet. vet has driffrent heads oversea setup. but if you want to do the setup the cv axles the brakes motor mounts just about the whole front end needs to be changed out then have fon with the thrid petal setup. i`ll stick with my 1.6l and a jim wolf turbo.

700 ponys has never made it to a FWD yet. let along jun is the only
one to hit that mark.Note: with about 20,000 bucks you might start to see those numbers...! the most I've seen is 430 in a FWD. any more and you'll just sit there and spint the rubber right off the wheels. Not to add the par gears sets. for real people ! you'll end up killing yourself,or your pocket book. I think it would be safe to say 205- 300 is the max most will ever need and would spend due to the money needed go above 300...HP!

Still a tall order for a 240SX. Note the thread was stating FWD app. for the SR20DET.And not the RWD version. dew to people
that are to dumb to due home work , or to new to know.

the truth of the matter is that people are always caught up in the Numbers game. high HP is nice if you can get it to the ground and make it stick.

ok . now you basic ave joe tuner will not have that much tied up in there machine.Due to the fact you need six figures to get such.

now you drift machines will have lots of ponys, and sponsors to pay for parts,or get free bees..
