Re: What is happiness?

didn't know there were soo many unhappy people here

i'm almost always happy, i find almost everything funny. even when bad things happen to me, i tend to laugh.

i was the class clown so maybe that explains my happiness. my whole family laughs a lot. its good for you.
if someone says somthing that i'd say, i laugh
if someone says something i would never expect enyone to say, i laugh
i laugh at people watching people, because i too watch people.

i dont know, maybe something wrong with me cause 70% of my day is laughing, even when i'm on this board

Re: What is happiness?

I laugh and joke with friends too, even if I laugh so hard that I cry, it just doesn't seem to last. Sometimes I just feel so down, its like I am watching myself being myself. Kind of hard to explain.

I have a couple of friends just like you who laugh at every little thing that you could find something to laugh at. I never thought you could laugh at a ketchup bottle but they proved me wrong.

Anyway, 96Civ I'll say what everybody has been saying about getting around people who make you happy. You'll soon forget you're feeling low and you'll laugh and be in a good mood.
Another trick I find that helps is to fix me a nice cold drink, sit down, and watch a good comedy movie. I don't know how many comedies I have but I pick one out and watch it when I'm feeling down and depressed and it helps cheer me up.

I think it's fairly safe to say that happiness has as many definitions as there are individuals.
For a child, it might mean an ice cream cone...for Diarrhea Doris, it might mean a dry fart.
As for myself, a good stiffie, so hard a cat can't scratch it is happiness.
Every day I wake up with one of those, it is a happy day indeed.

Re: What is happiness?

happiness is sometimes followed by an opposite of depression. the happier u r about something, the more depressed u r when u loose it. its kind of like druggies, they get high and feel very happy, but when they come down, they r miserable.
I owned a 93 rx7 tt when i was 19. that was the happiest time of my life! i woke up everyday with a smile and couldnt wait to go for a ride. it made me a better person cause i was always in a great mood. then i totalled the car being an idiot. it took me over a year to get over the depression.
i guess life is just a bunch of ups and downs. some people just have more than the other!
