That's strange, I haven't found any place that will let you rent it unless you're 25. I remember one of my friends telling me that he couldn't rent one, but his older gf could because she was 25 or 26. Maybe it depends on what part of the state you're in or what place you rent it from.

I'm like 3 hours away from Niagra Falls (2 if I was speeding) and I'm right in the center of the state (Syracuse). So 8 hours seems about right, maybe even a little more. I hope for your sake that you're either going to the Canadian part or you're going directly to the falls, because I've been told the NY falls area is kind of a sh*t hole. It's been probably 10 years since I've been there so who knows, I'm just going by what others have told me.
