Thinking of buying a 96 deville...
Just saw one today, runs perfect, 82K miles, $5K. need to replace 4 tires, wet bottom looks like there iis an oil leak, and probably other things i'm not aware of yet.
What do you guys think ?> would you recommend to buy it ? |

I'd look at what that oil leak is, as well as those "other things", and then try to talk him down.

Check for diagnostic trouble codes.
To enter diagnostic mode: 1. Turn ignition "ON." 2. Depress the "OFF" and "WARMER" buttons on the Climate Control Center (CCC) simultaneously and hold until the segment check appears on the Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC). Write down any codes. See the link below for explanations of codes. http://myweb.accessus.net/~090/dtcobd2.html |

Please note: This procedure does not work for 1995 and newer Park Avenues. They got the updated climate control unit that year, and you have to access it through the computer with a scan tool.

Whoops, sorry, not a Park Avenue, but it still may apply to Devilles.
