I've got the Injen CAI, i was wondering something

Why would i want to convert to short ram? Is it as simple as taking the second part of the pipe off, and attaching the filter to the end of the first pipe?

Is there any benefit to short rams vs. fenderwell intakes?

a little bit, nothing really noticeable though IMO. With the short air you'd probably lose like 1-2hp nothing the butt dyno would be able to feel.

i think i'll leave it alone. Besides, i wouldn't have anything to bolt it to if i take the secondary pipe off. It would pop out of that stupid-ass up-pointing throttle body.

if you change your mind, I will buy the second piece of your intake. If you don't have a bypass valve, this might be a good idea.

the bypass valve thing is way overrated, unless you live underwater your not going to need one
