91 tercel died

I'm helping a friend of mine fix his car and am stumped. According to him and all passengers the car's engins just stopped without any noises or jerking ect. He got it towed back to campus and it's been sitting in a dirt lot. It turns over fine but it refuses to even consider starting, no sputtering or anything. My first feeling was that the timing belt had broken or stripped but it appears to be in great shape. Then I checked for spark in all the plugs and they were fine. The injectors were likewise in fine shape. Any other ideas?
