Rim question
i wanted to put on a rim i could use all year round in the salt and snow during the winter months....is there any after market rims u can get that aren't chrome or polished aluminum? most likely these would get eaten away at by the salt.

I believe that American Racing, among others, offer powder coated wheels. They are usually graphite or black in color. I imagine if you look around you can find other colors as well. The powder coated should hold up better than the polished rims.
I, personally, just change over to the factory rims in the winter time. I have them on right now. A benefit of this is that it helps me to rotate the tires, since all 4 will be off the truck anyway.

i saw those black ones by american racing, i thought they were a bit pricey... maybe changing them up in the winter is the way to go for me then too. the polished ones are alot cheaper.

You can get a set of factory rims on e-bay for next to nothing. I had my eye on a set, but decided I didn't need them. They were the standard 16" with the chrome cover and a set of nearly worn out Goodyear Wrangler ST's on 'em. Ended up selling for $1.25 or $1.50. No, I didn't misplace the decimal point.

I have the American Racing "Victor" on my 2003 1500 4x4. I had polished Baja's before, but the deicer fluid they use in Montana quickly ate them up. The Victor's are Teflon coated and are quite amazing really. Anything, and I mean anything literally rinses off. Dog piss, deicer fluid, mud, salt, brake dust, it all washes off. I have a 6" pro-comp lift and pro-comp x-terrains (35's) and the look very mean. I HIGHLY suggest them. As far as I know, they make 3 different designs. Mine were $200.00 a piece mounted/balanced. I'll try to post some pics but I'm new here and still figuing things out.

i was checking those out today actually. so i guess the teflon series are as resistant as they claim? would like to see some pics if u get them posted, thanks.
