More scandals. What a surprise. I just don't understand where the ethics and morals for people are in this world. Apparently, there is none and no one is to ever be trusted.

The Liberals have done shit all for the country but raise taxes... i think its time to try the Conservative way and see what happens

"Union" is almost too flattering a term to use – Quebec is already a distinct society and enjoys (and exercises) certain legislative powers that allow it to trump federal laws relating to the Charter of Rights and Freedoms. They should just let them go - take it to the courts and let that province get chopped to pieces so that the seperatists end up with what Quebec was when it entered confederation in 1867. And even if that argument doesn't hold up, the First Nations in Quebec have long voiced their intention to remain part of Canada. So those seperatists would get a taste of their own medicine having to watch their land carved up the Native Canadian groups.


Anyways, getting back to the sponsorship scandal - Chrétien still is and always was a buffoon. It was kinda nice to see his mug shot posted in the papers again. The REAL drama will start when Martin gets in the hot seat. It will be harder for him being the former Finance Minister to say he didn't know what was going on - or that he didn't know what cheques he was signing...

It doesn't matter who gets elected .. they all screw us with the taxes and spending.

I think this whole thing is a waste of time and money. I read somewhere that it will cost $60 million for this inquiry. WTF !! The original scandal was $100 million. So now it is going to cost us double (or more!!!) to come to no solution, find out nothing and slap someone on the wrist !!!

I think they should investigate EVERY SPENDING ITEM that the government does with OUR money. How much has those (4) broken down submarines from the British cost us? How much has the cancelled helicopter bid cost us?

I think this is the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the government spending MY MONEY !!!

I wish I could spend my personal budget like the government does !!!!
