Unhappy Parting Out 1997 Grand Marquis

The front rear lower control arm brackets on my G.M. were only partially welded at the factory- hence, after 80k miles, they've broken loose and made the car totally unsafe to drive. Repairs will cost more than the car is worth, so I'm forced to part it out.

What I do NOT want is a junk car sitting in my back yard slowly dissolving over ten or twenty years; but the chances of getting rid of it quickly- or even all at once- don't seem that good. I'm sure Pick 'n' Pull would give me $200 for it, but it just seems to me that all that straight body work and working engine and transmission should be worth a bit more than that.

Anyone have any ideas on how best to proceed getting rid of this hulk?

Where are you located at?

I'm looking for a few body parts on front end. Colour is irrelevant.

I see. Well, all that stuff is in good shape- I mean, REALLY good shape. But I just don't have the time to travel halfway to Indianapolis. But tell you waht, you make me an offer on the whole car and I'll consider holding it for you, OK?

In the mean time, go back and read my original message very carefully. Thanks!

Talking It's Gone

I found a couple of good ol' boys to sell the Grand Marquis to- and I bought myself a mint 1977 Mercedes 300D with the proceeds.
