Post fastest grand marquis!!!!!!!!!

ok im into street racing and imports and shit and all that good stuff. my brother who is 8 years older is into the clean rides (not 24's and shit) but he likes dubs and have a nice looking car.so ima buy his grand marquis off him for 2500 and its worth 2789. ok so good deal there right??? not!!! i drove it today and that shit got up really quick and its a very nice car but i want it faster. wen i get it im gonna replace the shocks and springs and also put the stock rims back on since he put the 20's on his truck. but has anyone ever put a supercharger or even a junkyard turbo on a grand marquis??? im gonna get a custom intake and exhuast and might get the head polished and stuff. so can anyone give me opions on what to get for it??? i just want it faster so i can beat up on some imports lol. thanks alot my AIM s/n is squallie b pimpn. so hit me up man.

thanks!!!!!!!!!

Re: fastest grand marquis!!!!!!!!!

Ford Racing Parts, has things to bolt on; but you'll need to modify some things, and reverse the Alternator & A/C compressor.
You need a special Hi compression performance kit, with head gaskets, etc.
You will blow the heads, pushrods, and cam without a proper re-build.

You're looking at $5000 in parts alone, figuring you'd do the labor.

It's my plan, but Dual cherry Bombs will have to do for now.

Mine will do 85mph. At least that's what the speedo says. Samurai's right, you'll need alot of power to overcome the bulk but it's doable.

Cool Re: fastest grand marquis!!!!!!!!!

First off, I wanna say that the Grand Marquis is a kick ass ride. I got mine to where it can go 125, 0-60 in about 11 seconds. It takes a while for it to get up to speed 'cause it's a freakin' huge car, but it can be done. You're lookin' at an expensive job, though.

Here's a website for you to check out. www.kennybrown.com He's a guy out of Indianapolis that has done high performance buildups on FLM full size cars in the past and is doing the Marauder now too. He puts a supercharger in the full size. The Marauder puts out about 475 horse with the blower. The CVs, GMs, and TCs put out about 350 horse with the blower. Downside is you have to run 93 octane or better gas. Hope that helps.
