Boy, is that ever a loaded question. Every set up is different in every vehicle. It all plays the role as to what you tune for. What I try to do is get a bigger amp so you don't have to turn it up so high. Many amps will clip when at their max especially if you have high RCA inputs.

Basically, I turn the gain where I like it then turn the crossover point just under where you can hear vocals. Then adjust the gain again and crossover point.

Re: amp adjustments

Well, right off you have some problems. You have a very low end amp thats only 2ohm stable trying to run 2 12's that are DVC @ 2ohm. So you'll have to make sure when wiring you don't go below that 2ohm rating. The second is the power ratings themselves. I know that Kicker inflates them a little but I think that amp is on the low end.

FYI, make sure to have the box pointing to the rear of the vehicle and not towards the front. That will help you with some of the soundwaves.

Re: amp adjustments

the amp will run both 2 and 4 ohm and the kickers are like dual 4ohm so that makes an 8ohm but i got them wired so its at 4ohm...and then the place i bought them from said i cant go lower than the 4ohm with the speakers. i dont know if thats true cuz i dont know to much about that stuff

Sounds like they don't want you to go below 4ohm mono. Anyhoo, I thought that those subs are 2ohm.

well i think i need to learn more about ohms and all that jazz just so i know why i can't hook up a 1 ohm load to a 2 ohm source i mean to me it sounds like u could just cuz 1 is less then 2 but i doubt thats the case lol

i also need to know how to tell what ohm something is gonna be when i hook it up like when ya hook up 2 4 ohm DVC it makes either a 2 0r 8 ohm...it doesnt make sence to me
